I mix 1 song a day, Monday through Friday. Doing the math, 10 songs will take 2 weeks. They will sound amazing.

Step 1 - You send me the files on DVD or you upload them to my iDisk or to own file hosting website.

Step 2 - I will start prepping the files as soon as I get them. If I am mixing more than 5 songs, I prefer to have a few days to prep all the songs before starting mixing. That way, once I start, I can mix 1 or 2 songs each day and stay in the creative groove.

Step 3 - I begin mixing in the morning and upload a high quality MP3 or AAC of the finished mix in the afternoon. You will receive an email with a link to download the song. I then start mixing or prepping the next song.

Step 4 - Once you have heard all the mixes, we will be ready to make any changes (there are usually very few). At this point, if you would like to hear the changes in real time while we discuss each change, we can. This is what I refer to as Virtual Session Attending. The mix is streamed live over the internet which means no more waiting to download mixes for approval!

Step 5 - After all the mixes have been approved, I will burn data DVDs and send them to mastering. If you would like info on mastering engineers, I will gladly recommend someone.

Step 6 - Everything is backed up and kept in my library for safe keeping.

The Quarry

The Quarry is my personal studio. I mix the majority of my independent arIists there (and even some major label projects) and it always sounds as great as the mixes I do in the "big studios".

The Quarry is a
ProTools HD3 Accel based studio. It has just about every plug-in available (including a UAD2 Quad). Everything is output through Apogee converters and monitored with NS-10s (with sub), Avantone Mix Cubes, and a Panasonic boom-box.
Ouboard gear consists of :
Alan Smart C1 stereo compressor, Anamod ATS-1 (fully loaded), Chandler TG1 (Abbey Road compressor), EL-7 Fatso, Funk Logic AP-302, Loft 450 analog delay, Neve 1081s, Neve 33609, SPL Transient Designer, Universal Audio 710, custom summing solution.

I also have a badass coffee machine.
